SHARINE BARNARD RELEASES UPBEAT REMIX OF HER FIRST SINGLE

Over the past few months Sharine Barnard has become known for her meaningful music. Now she is back in the spotlight to end the year on a high note with the release of another single.

AL LOOP EK is a remix of the song Al loop ek deur die nag, which she co-wrote with author and poet, Mardi Barnard in 2021 as part of an assignment of the Sing Aanlyn program during lockdown.

“The song is about how meeting someone new we are often able to find hope and love again after getting hurt,” she explains. “Mardi and I met online. She wrote the lyrics, and I took care of the music, and everything came together perfectly.”

According to the musician, the song was her fist digital release. She has since decided to tweak it a bit for those listeners who like something with a beat.

“I wanted to create a feelgood Afrikaans pop song that is easy to listen and sing along to,” says the artist. “Listeners will enjoy its catchy beat and relate to the beautiful lyrics.”

The music video of Al Loop Ek was produced by Lioness Records and was filmed at various locations in South Africa as well as in Canada.

AL LOOP EK is the singer-songwriter’s seventh single and follows in the footsteps of hits like Breathe, Pray and Killer, which were very well received.

Sharine was born and raised in Jan Kempdorp. Although she has always loved music, it has not been the core focus of her life – she has spent the past 20 years raising children, creating a safe haven for lions and building various businesses – but this changed during lockdown when she decided to take a chance on her music. The rest is history.

She has enjoyed the journey so far and is proud of every song that played on the radio or charted on hit parades. Furthermore, she is thankful for the support of the team at Starburst Promotions and every radio presenter that helped to promote her music.

“Rome wasn’t built in a day, but it is nice to work with people who go out of their way to give musicians opportunities to get their music heard. Even if things don’t work out quite as planned or as quickly as you had hoped, it is a highlight to be able to appreciate the positive results of this experience.”

In addition to her love of music, Sharine, who is the co-owner of Bagamoya Wildlife Estate, is passionate about animals. The singer is also extremely enthusiastic about sport and health and is currently busy training for the South African athletic championship with her kids. She is also the owner of an Ozone Therapy clinic, Ozone Clinic, that helps people be healthier and to achieve their sport performance goals.

AL LOOP EK is the beginning of exciting things she has planned for the next year, including her debut album and several other surprises.
