SA’s LOLA AUDREYS UNVEILS ACOUSTIC VERSION OF ‘ONE CALL AWAY’ – ROOTED IN HOME AND HEART

Must read

South African artist Lola Audreys has released an intimate, acoustic version of her latest single One Call Away, offering a stripped-back take that highlights the raw emotion behind the song. Following the original release in May, which landed on charts throughout the country, the acoustic version sees her collaborating with an international team of hitmakers- Toby Scott (Jonas Blue, Dom Dolla), Moss Kena (The Knocks, Purple Disco Machine), and French Original (Meduza, deadmau5). But despite the global team, the heart of the song remains firmly grounded at home. “I wrote this version at the piano on my family farm,” Lola shares. “There’s something really vulnerable about going back to basics.”

Fans got an early teaser during her exclusive interview with Smile FM’s Erin Drayton, where she opened up about reconnecting with her roots in South Africa and letting the stillness of nature shape her sound. “Being on the farm, feeding the chickens, watching the stars—it’s helped me find clarity again,”

Having first burst onto the scene with collaborations alongside legends like Nile Rodgers and MK, Lola is embracing a new era, one that fuses her pop influences with acoustic soul and reflects the personal growth she’s experienced in recent years.

The acoustic version of One Call Away is available now on all streaming platforms.
