Pamela Mtanga Crowned Style Influencer of the Year as She Celebrates a Decade in Entertainment

Must read

Johannesburg, July 24, 2025 – This past weekend marked a defining chapter in the story of Pamela Mtanga. On Saturday evening, the award-winning media personality and entrepreneur was honoured as Style Influencer of the Year at GLAMOUR South Africa’s Most Glamorous 2025 awards. The following night, she was surprised with an intimate dinner at Sinn Sandton, celebrating her remarkable 10-year journey in the entertainment industry.

Pamela’s award is the latest in a string of meaningful milestones that signal a new era in her blooming career. “Style has always been more than just what I wear, it’s how I show up, how I express joy, and how I tell stories before even saying a word,” she shared after receiving the award. “To be recognised in this way, especially during such a reflective time in my career, means everything.”

At Glamour’s annual celebration, which honoured bold, fashion-forward figures shaping culture in South Africa and beyond, Pamela stood out not just for her fashion choices, but for the consistency and grace with which she’s navigated an ever-evolving industry.

The next day, family and close friends (including her mother, sister, Metro FM radio host Mpumi Mlambo, and renowned podcaster Luyanda Duma) gathered to toast a decade of Pamela’s work, resilience and vision. The surprise dinner was heartfelt, stylish, and filled with the kind of affirming joy Pamela has long championed through her platforms.

10 Years In: Pamela Mtanga Wins Big, Launches New Podcast, and Looks Ahead

Now considered one of South Africa’s most in-demand hosts and MCs, Pamela has carved out a lane that merges media, culture, and storytelling. Over the past few months alone, she’s hosted the Vitality Discovery Awards, the Crème of Nature South Africa Launch, and numerous high-profile brand and lifestyle events, many of which took place during a traditionally quiet winter season for the industry.

Her commercial portfolio also reflects a growing influence across sectors. She’s currently leading powerful brand collaborations with Nescafé, Nivea, and continues her work as the official lifestyle ambassador for Adidas South Africa. These partnerships extend far beyond surface-level campaigns, they tap into Pamela’s ability to shift perception and build trust with an audience that’s followed her evolution from day one.

“As a team, we’re incredibly proud of Pamela’s trajectory,” said Shingai Darangwa, her manager. “She carries herself with both hunger and humility. Her discipline and grace behind the scenes match what audiences see on camera, and this moment feels like the beginning of a bolder, more expansive chapter. We’re just getting started.”

In true Pamela fashion, she’s not slowing down. She recently launched a new podcast, My Audio Journal, under her production company Beyond Curated Studios. The podcast is an unfiltered space for reflection and vulnerability, inviting listeners into layered conversations about womanhood, identity and growth.

“I’m deeply proud of how far I’ve come, but I’m even more excited about where I’m headed,” Pamela said. “Ten years in, I feel like I’m creating from a place of calm. I’ve learned that you don’t need to be loud to be powerful, and My Audio Journal is proof of that. I’m trusting my voice more, and I hope others feel seen in the process.”

As Pamela continues to shape and shift the landscape, one thing is clear: this is a season of purpose, and the best is yet to come.
