Culture, music, and moments worth more at The Soirée by Stella Artois: Lovers’ Edition, with Bucie’s show-stopping set and Langa Mavuso’s surprise duet with Lloyiso.

A full house. A golden afternoon. A crowd ready to feel something. The Soirée by Stella Artois: Lovers’ Edition returned to Toadbury Hall outside Johannesburg this weekend, drawing a sold-out audience and reaffirming its place as one of February’s most anticipated cultural fixtures.
The headline moment arrived when Bucie stepped onto The Soirée stage with her full band. What followed was less a performance and more a collective experience. The crowd rose to its feet, singing along to every song, transforming the grounds into one unified chorus. Emotional yet triumphant, her return felt long-awaited and deeply embraced, a reminder of The Soirée’s power to create music moments that linger well beyond the final note.

Adding emotional depth to the Lovers’ Edition theme, Langa Mavuso delivered a stirring performance centred on vulnerability and romance. In a surprise moment that sent waves through the crowd, Lloyiso joined him on stage. The pair, affectionately dubbed “the Stella boys” by Langa, created a standout collaboration that felt both intimate and monumental.
Beyond the stage, guests immersed themselves in curated experiences designed for indulgence and interaction. The Tasting Table paired gourmet flavours with Stella Artois, while the Perfect Serve Station honoured the brand’s signature five-step pouring ritual.

Food remained a defining element of the experience, with a curated culinary selection ranging from artisanal bao buns and delicate dim sum to freshly prepared seafood by The Prawnery and gourmet ribs and wings from The Wing Republic, all enjoyed within elegantly styled picnic lounges across the estate, enjoyed by an enthusiastic and lively audience.
