Aquila Boxing Promotions Delivers Fireworks at FISTIC HAVOC

Must read

Johannesburg, South Africa – June, 2025 — Last night, Aquila Boxing Promotions once again cemented its status as a driving force in African boxing with its latest event, Fistic Havoc, held at The Galleria. The action-packed card lived up to its name, bringing together rising stars and seasoned contenders in a night defined by power, precision, and heart.

Headlined by the IBO All-Africa Junior Middleweight Title bout, the evening featured seven bouts across multiple weight divisions — each delivering its own brand of intensity and drama.

In the main event, Kagiso Bagwasi claimed the vacant IBO All-Africa Junior Middleweight Title, stopping Boyd Allen with a thunderous knockout in Round 6. Bagwasi’s poise and punching power were on full display, earning him both the belt and widespread praise.

Undercard Highlights:

  • Kaine Fourie maintained his momentum in the lightweight division with a TKO victory over Sifiso Hlongwane in Round 5.
  • The featherweight clash between Sabelo Ndwandwe and Shawn Nkuna earned Fight of the Night honours. Ndwandwe’s relentless pace and sharp combinations secured a unanimous decision win.
  • Tiisetso Matikinca continued his rise in the bantamweight ranks, stopping Tefo Letshigwane in Round 4.
  • Promising talents Leo Careri and Luke Hendrikz both secured unanimous decision wins, further staking their claims as names to watch.
  • Two closely contested bouts — Rene Tshimanga vs. Eimedo Ekala (heavyweight) and Lindokuhle Khuzwayo vs. Jeff Magagane (featherweight) — ended in split draws, setting the stage for potential rematches.

Aquila Boxing Promotions extended its gratitude to its sponsors — World Sports Betting, Tigris Wealth, Supersport, JCP Steel, HP, and Little Tuscany Boutique Hotel — for their continued support in growing the sport and raising the bar for professional boxing in the region.

“We’re beyond grateful to have powerhouse partners in our corner. They don’t just back the vision — they help us take it further,” said Geraldine Lerena, co-founder and CEO of Aquila Boxing Promotions.
“Without that backing, Fistic Havoc wouldn’t be the high-calibre showcase it is today,” added Kevin LerenaWBC Bridgerweight World Champion and the face of Aquila Boxing Promotions.

As Fistic Havoc concludes with standout performances and rising rivalries, fans can expect even more explosive matchups in future events.
