South Africa, October 2025: adidas in partnership with Archive Collective hosted its fourth instalment of Originals Studio this time powered by Megaride. The Megaride taps into the vis-tech nostalgia of ’00s adidas. On 4 October 2025, Cape Town creatives had the opportunity to have a learn from South Africa’s leading industry trail trailblazers in an exclusive and highly sought-after workshops that focused content design, photography and styling.
To harness power of the sculpted lines, bold proportions, and archival innovation of the Megaride, award-winning stylists Robyn Agulhas and Whitney Rhodes styled participants with the best of Originals apparel. Celebrated photographer and music producer, Larnelle Bakala brought the looks to life through an iconic editorial photography workshop which took on the fast and futuristic mood of the Megaride footwear.
Staying true to Original Studio’s core objective of facilitating creative and cultural exchange, storyteller and film director Bathandwa Ngwendu led a panel discussion featuring visual artist and design workshop lead OT Maks of VTSEK Studios, and cultural curator and DJ Franadilla, alongside Whitney Rhodes and Robyn Agulhas, and Larnelle Bakala.
The final segment of the day closed off with a design and content workshop led by OT Maks and Franadilla. Participants created their own take on the vis-tech nostalgia of ’00s using themselves as the muse to celebrate the Megaride. To wrap the day, participants jammed to the tunes of DJs, Not A She, Dillan Tyler, Franadilla and Mila Rose as they lit up the decks, closing out the day with energy, rhythm and that unmistakable Originals vibe.
