As South Africans head to the coast for the run of public holidays and long weekends over the next week, St Francis Bay is set to welcome an influx of holidaymakers. One of the newest reasons to book a table while you’re in town is Geisha Wok & Noodle Bar: a modern Asian restaurant inspired by the energy of Japan’s ramen bars, now open in this laid-back seaside village.
Beyond the holiday rush, Geisha is designed to become a delicious fixture for locals and repeat visitors alike. Expect bright, nourishing flavours made for sharing, served in a light-filled, minimalist space that centres on an open kitchen – with every dish prepared and delivered at its freshest.
The menu is crafted to ignite every sense – from the sounds and aromas from the open kitchen to the flavours on the plate. Fiery spices, aromatic sauces, and steaming broths bring the heat, while fresh, crisp vegetables add brightness. Silky noodles, sticky rice, tender meats, fresh fish, and delicate tofu round out a line‑up that’s bold, balanced, and deeply satisfying.

Signature items include the Tuna Crispy with high‑grade seasoned tuna on crisp rice; the Tofu Ramen made with Somen noodles in a savoury broth, and the Pineapple Chilli Cheesecake with its balance of sweetness and heat.
The sushi menu also offers a focused range of handcrafted options across signature rolls, classics, and sushi sets. Highlights include the Dragon Roll with tempura prawn, mango salsa, and avocado, as well as the Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll made with tuna, tempura prawn, avocado guacamole, and wasabi mayo. Or choose something classic: salmon roses, sashimi (tuna, salmon, prawn), nigiri, and a selection of maki rolls such as cucumber, salmon, and tuna.
For guests wanting a bit of everything, the Salmon and Tuna Sets bring together tartare, sashimi, nigiri, and maki on one plate.

The interior mirrors the menu’s clean, modern approach. A custom crane‑patterned wallpaper introduces a subtle nod to Japanese symbolism – longevity, good fortune and loyalty – while the overall design keeps the focus on the kitchen and a relaxed, social dining experience.
Founded by Food Concepts 360, Geisha forms part of the group’s growing portfolio of chef‑led concepts across South Africa. The restaurant works closely with regional suppliers, including Abalobi for sustainably sourced seafood and local growers for fresh produce.
Geisha is open seven days a week from 12h00 to 21h00. Reservations advised, walk-ins welcome. Find the restaurant in The Village Shopping Centre on St Francis Drive.
