ZIOUX LAUNCHES LUXURY HIGH TEA

Joburg’s most luxurious and playful high tea has arrived. Zioux {pronounced Zoo}, The Marble Group’s glamorous champagne bar and cocktail lounge located in the heart of Sandton, is now serving high tea every Saturday between eleven a.m and four p.m.

The menu, which is an extravagant selection of eight savoury and six sweet “small bites”, costs R750 per person and is paired with a glass of Pierre-Jouët Champagne.

“We wanted to recreate the vibe we have during dinner service, and so the inspiration for the high tea menu comes from the music, food and people we have here at Zioux,” explains head chef for Zioux, Mike van Rooyen. “It’s a decadent way to spend your beautiful Saturday afternoon.”

The menu of 14 vibrant small plates is inspired by South American flavours and includes dishes like a moreish crayfish roll with gherkins and truffle crayfish, wagyu sirloin katso in sticky sauce with cabbage and lime, and buttermilk chicken steamed buns with salsa macha and pickles. On the sweet side, Megan Meikle – pastry chef for the group – and her team have conjured up guava Swiss roll with passion fruit gel, pecan nut macarons with tres leche and sandy pecan nuts, and cherry “lips” bavarois.

Zioux’s African art nouveau décor is a glamorous space for the adventurous, sophisticated, playful, to break free from Joburg’s urban jungle.

Booking is essential.
