Change isn’t easy, but South Africans across the country have achieved life-changing results through Nutritional Performance Labs‘ (NPL) 12-week Body Revolution Challenge. With thousands of entries speaking to a greater need to kickstart healthier lifestyles, NPL’s structured approach proves that sustainable weight loss and building muscle are possible when you have the right support and tools.

Meet BodyRev 8.0 winners, two people whose remarkable journeys show exactly what’s achievable in just 12 weeks.
Meet Danelle: BodyRev 8.0 Female Winner
Danelle Snyman, a 25-year-old tattoo artist from Randburg, never imagined her artistic passion would become her biggest health obstacle. But through BodyRev 8.0, she achieved an impressive 11kg weight loss in only 12 weeks.
“I am incredibly passionate about what I do, but my obsession with creating can cause intense stress, burnout and depressive episodes that often result in binge and mindless eating,” explains Snyman. “My clothes wouldn’t feel or sit right, so I opted to wear oversized items, which made me feel even bigger.”
Even with regular training sessions, Snyman found it hard to maintain consistent results. The missing piece was understanding how to create sustainable habits, and without that foundation, she felt defeated and overwhelmed.
When Snyman discovered the NPL Body Revolution Challenge, she knew this was her moment to rebuild. Her husband’s words “if there’s anyone who can win, it’s you”, provided the encouragement she needed to fully embrace the challenge.
The detailed meal plans were transformative for Snyman. She could eat without feeling restricted, her appetite naturally balanced out, and those destructive binge episodes stopped. Within weeks, following a structured meal plan became second nature.
“The structure provided by the incredible meal plans took out all the guesswork and made the process sustainable rather than another failed attempt,” says Snyman, who ultimately claimed the female winner for BodyRev 8.0.
Meet Ndabezinhle: BodyRev 8.0 Male Winner
Ndabezinhle Ntuli, a 39-year-old HR professional from Durban, achieved a massive 23kg weight loss in 12 weeks, but his journey started differently. Despite regular gym attendance, work stress and poor eating habits had left him feeling uncomfortable in his own skin as he approached his 40th birthday.
“My inability to keep my eating in check caught up with me. I felt uncomfortable in my body and didn’t feel like myself anymore. As someone who trains regularly, it was frustrating not to look or feel the part,” recalls Ntuli.
Looking at old photographs showed Ntuli how much his health had declined over the years. With his 40th birthday approaching, he realised he didn’t want to enter this new decade feeling disconnected from his body, so he committed to making real changes.
Ntuli’s approach was methodical and comprehensive. He structured double training sessions with morning cardio followed by evening weight sessions, combined with careful meal preparation and food tracking using MyFitnessPal. The NPL supplement protocol complemented his hard work, supporting recovery and maximising fat loss.
“There were plateaus where it felt like nothing was happening, but I had to trust the process and keep showing up,” explains Ntuli, whose persistence earned him the male winner for BodyRev 8.0.
What Sets BodyRev Apart?
Unlike typical transformation challenges that focus on just exercise or diet, NPL’s Body Revolution Challenge provides everything participants need in one place. Detailed meal plans take the guesswork out of eating, structured training programmes, the integration of quality supplements, and most importantly, a supportive online community that keeps people motivated throughout their 12-week journey.
“The NPL Body Revolution Challenge provides participants with everything needed for genuine transformation,” explains Cherrie Blackmore, Head of Marketing at NPL. “We’re not selling quick fixes or unrealistic promises. This is about teaching people sustainable habits they can maintain long after the 12-week challenge ends. Our goal is the longevity of the transformation.”
Both winners emphasise how the online community aspect proved crucial to their success, with participants nationwide sharing progress updates and providing mutual encouragement throughout their transformations.
“The online accountability community was incredible,” says Snyman. “Contestants everywhere were showing progress and motivating each other. It created a wholesome family atmosphere that went beyond individual goals.”
Extraordinary Results from Ordinary People
BodyRev 9.0 continues with this year’s message, “Show Your True Strength”, with participants competing for over R370,000 in cash and prizes, the largest prize pool to date.
The prize pool includes:
- F45 Bryanston & Fourways: 6-month memberships valued at R1 800/month each
- F45 Paarl South: 3-month memberships valued at R4 800 each
- HFPA Academy: Course discounts to the value of R65 000
- MissFit Boxing SA: a one-year unlimited membership plus apparel (female winner only) valued at R19 000
- Body Action Gym: Membership and trainer valued at R8 700 each
BodyRev 10.0 is already in development for early next year with an even bigger prize pool, upgraded support systems and enhanced tools to help participants achieve their transformation goals.
“What excites me most is seeing ordinary people achieve extraordinary results,” adds Blackmore. “These aren’t professional athletes or fitness influencers, they’re working parents, busy professionals and students who prove that with the right structure and support, anyone can transform their life.”
For Snyman and Ntuli, winning represents just the beginning of lifelong healthy habits that extend far beyond physical appearance.
“The weight loss is fantastic, but for me it was about proving I could achieve anything with the right plan and dedication,” shared Snyman. “That mindset change is the real victory.”
