This November, Carnival City brings you a jammed packed month with a combination of comedy shows, African Trap Music, the Imbizo Music Concert, curated and headlined by Sjava and even the property’s first Afrikaans Spoegwolf en die Legends rock performance this year.

Comedy Combo Show – Saturday, 04 November 2023

Get ready to laugh your socks off with the Comedy Combo Show, a stand-up comedy featuring some hilarious comedians, on Saturday, 04 November at the Big Top Arena, Carnival City.

The Combo Comedy show is set to get South Africans from all walks of life under one roof to share a few good laughs. The all-star cast features performances from local great comedians such as the comedic sensation, Sifiso Nene, Mpho Pops, Salesman, Simunye Churchboy and more.

Look forward to the Imbizo Music Concert, curated and headlined by Sjava, on Saturday, 11 November 2023 at the Big Top Arena, Carnival City.

This captivating event promises to be a vibrant celebration of African identity, music, and culture, bringing together music enthusiasts from all walks of life. And will showcase the rich tapestry of South African music, fusing contemporary sounds with traditional rhythms to create an unforgettable experience.

Sjava is a highly acclaimed musician, songwriter, actor, and will lead the charge to deliver a mesmerising performance characterised by powerful storytelling embedded in his signature sound, which will blend soulful melodies and traditional isiZulu music genres together under the umbrella of African Trap Music.

The line-up consists of: Sjava, Big Zulu, Shwi, Nomfundo Moh, Mnqobi Yazo, Mzukulu, Lwah Ndlunkulu, Blaq Diamond, Aubrey Qwana.

Spoegwolf en die Legends – Saturday, 18 November 2023

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of music with Spoegwolf and some of the country’s biggest legends on Saturday, 18 November at the Big Top Arena, Carnival City.

This is the first time this year Carnival City is hosting a heavyweight Afrikaans rock performance.

The concert is organised by Vonk Musiek and Spoegwolf and serves as a celebration of some of South Africa’s best songwriters and music legends.

Guests can look forward to performances by Spoegwolf, the legendary Anton Goosen, Dozi, Valiant Swart also known as “Mystic Boer”, Gian Groen, Guitarist Ryno Velvet, the iconic Tasché and up-and-coming alternative folk duo, Vrede.

Spoegwolf en die Legends promises an iconic show, with well-known artists performing the best songs from their repertoires, as well as some collaborations between them.
