Johannesburg, 05 March 2026: The temperature in the Big Brother Mzansi Bazozwa house is almost at boiling point with only two weeks to go before the finale.

The Week 8 theme, Jungle Week is pushing the Top 10 into full survival mode causing alliances to wobble, heightening the housemates’ nerves even more. Between the Wager anxiety, contentious diary room confessions and a messy showdown between Bravo B and Trixie, the competition is scorching.

Jungle Week Wager Prep

Following Biggie’s 50% deduction of last week’s wager win, the housemates have been deep in preparation for their wager themed around ‘Survival of the Fittest’, even though not everyone is convinced that the house will pull it off.

Liema raised concerns that the group struggles to agree on key ideas during planning sessions, hinting that teamwork might be their biggest obstacle. She specifically noted that aligning with Thandeka during discussions hasn’t been easy.

Thandeka, however, is unbothered. She told Mmeli she is simply focused on contributing her ideas – whether people listen or not.

Head of House (HoH) Ashay later stepped in to rally the troops, pulling Thandeka and Mmeli aside to lock down key elements for the presentation, admitting that to him, productive discussions have been hard to come by.

Despite the prep uncertainties,  housemates are still putting together their personal jungle identities for the wager performance:

  • King Wanda claimed the role of king of the jungle, the lion, saying he hunts alone and stands firm even during conflict.
  • Trixie plans to tell the story of her journey in the house, including the strikes she received along the way.
  • The Don compared himself to a butterfly, saying his role is to bring colour and presence without harming others.

Bazozwa Top 10 Reflections

With Ilano’s eviction still fresh in their minds, Bazozwa Top 10 stepped into the diary room for some brutally honest reflections, where it was obvious that strategy talk is officially in full swing!

  • HoH Ashay called the week a true ‘battle of the fittest’, insisting that he wants to stay authentic and avoid unnecessary drama.
  • Trixie admitted that the house atmosphere is still adjusting after Ilano’s exit. She said she is leaning heavily on Bravo B this week and says Ashay is a major threat because of his likable personality.
  • Didi revealed that she sees everyone as a threat,  especially Mmeli whom she believes is very calculated.
  • Liema celebrated making it to the Top 10 admitting that the environment is emotionally draining, because of the ‘negative energy and bullying dynamics’.
  • The Don sees Que as the biggest threat because he keeps surviving nominations.
  • Bravo B said the Jungle Week cooking over the fire reminds him of home. His strategy is to keep things entertaining, stay positive and create memorable moments.
  • Que, who has already survived eight nominations, says his journey proves the power of manifestation.
  • King Wanda remains proud to be part of the Top 10 but believes Thandeka and Mmeli are a powerful alliance in the game.
  • Thandeka described the house atmosphere as having a ‘dark cloud’,  saying some housemates are not fully committing to the survival theme.
  • Mmeli confessed that the long stay in the house is starting to affect him mentally but insists he will do whatever it takes to survive – even if it means bending a few rules.

The Big Brixie Clash

Just when it looked like there was some calm in the house, tension exploded between Bravo B and Trixie. This was triggered by a rumoured comment, made by Trixie about him was revealed.

The information came from  King Wanda, who told Bravo B he had heard the remark, lighting a fuse that sparked the fiery confrontation lit the fuse and putting the fan-favourite duo ‘Brixie’ under serious pressure.

On the Mzansi social media streets, fans are already divided, with some saying that King Wanda was stirring the pot, while others believe that he was simply being honest. No matter how one looks at it, it begs the question: Is being an instigator smart gameplay or self-sabotage? In Biggie’s house, information is always power, but how one uses it can either elevate their game or destroy it.
