After an extremely busy and successful year left behind her, the pop-princess Victoria Nadine is returning with her second single for 2024, this time in collaboration with multi-Platinum DJ and producer R3HAB. “Feel This Way” is a powerful dance anthem which describes the feeling of intense love where you just can´t stop smiling.
“I wrote this song in LA together with Emma DD, Grant and Joe London and I went to the studio with the mindset of ‘today I´m going to make a dance track’. It was a really fun process to write so freely and to just be able to have fun with it and play with the lyrics. That was really liberating. The song is about something as simple as a crush that is very intense. The feeling of your blood rushing when you think about or are near this person, and that it’s just them you think about and who make you feel exactly that. An indescribable feeling, simply put.
We were all super excited, the idea came pretty quickly, and I think we all said after just an hour, ‘this is a banger,’ so we believed in it early.
The plan from the start was to pitch this to DJs and keep my voice on it. We went a few rounds, and R3HAB was a name that came up often when we discussed who could fit to do it. I really dig him, and I’ve wanted to work with him for years since I listen to his music myself. I’ve always been very focused on my first collab with a DJ being with someone I think is awesome and actually listen to, regardless of how big the artist is, so I was prepared for it to be unlikely that it would work out since I wouldn’t work with just anyone, and naturally not everyone would choose Victoria Nadine as their first choice. It has also been important for me that my first DJ collab is a song I have helped write myself and I can only say that I was joyfully surprised when I found out that R3HAB was more than happy to be part of this song! I actually didn’t think it would go on the first try. R3HAB’s touch on this production made it sound exactly how I wanted it to sound! This is truly a dream collab, and I’m super proud of this song!”
