TechSoft International Showcases Containerisation Capabilities of New TIBCO WebFOCUS® 9.0.0

New capabilities bring developers and applications closer to their data in a hyper-personalised, visual, pay-as-you-use solution

Johannesburg, South Africa, 9 May 2022: TechSoft International, the exclusive African territory partner of TIBCO Software, the global leader for integration and analytics, is pleased to announce that TIBCO has unveiled TIBCO WebFOCUS® 9.0.0, adding features that support containers and cloud-native development to the solution allowing for a more personalised user experience while ensuring the more pervasive use of analytics in a business.

TIBCO WebFOCUS Container Edition is an entirely new microservices-based capability designed to deliver a scalable container-based deployment platform. With WebFOCUS Container Edition, development teams can now quickly and easily drive Kubernetes deployments on-premises or in the cloud. This is accompanied by the all-new TIBCO WebFOCUS Hub, which assists with a responsive “hyper-personalised” experience.

“The need to draw strategic insights from data and build it into bespoke applications is now more important than ever but marrying data from across an organisation can often be the challenge,” says Zakhele Shoba, Senior Software Consultant, TechSoft International. “The new updates to WebFOCUS, particularly the Hub, help customers access their data from any device via the Hub’s workspace and applications directory. The goal here is to simplify data access and offer a real-time visual representation of this data in a format that is easy to read.”

TechSoft customers can now also enjoy the enhanced features in TIBCO WebFOCUS Designer. According to TIBCO, these new capabilities make it even easier for those authoring content to create, manage, and stage datasets and create visual dashboards to better enhance and manipulate data. A key feature is the ability to create multi-layer maps that allow developers to showcase geographic information for multiple geolocation fields and data sources on a single map. The data science and machine learning capabilities inherent in Designer also make it easier for users to draw parallels from data and map out trends within their data.

“With these new enhancements to TIBCO WebFOCUS, we are now delivering an easy-to-use platform that truly democratises the power of data and analytics across an organisation. Companies can now explore, create, analyse, publish, and collaborate on analytics content. And the support that has been added for containerised and cloud-native deployment support dynamic auto-scaling which ultimately helps drive down cloud and infrastructure costs with a pay-as-you-consume model,” adds Shoba.
