Knocking out the likes of South African AKA, The Soil, Sarkodie and Nigerian beauty Yemi Alade who were as well nominated in the Best African Act at the BET Awards.
Ghana’s Stonebwoy has walked away with the prize. The announcement was made at a pre-awards ceremony before the big show.
AKA took the loss in his stride, thanking fans for their support and wishing the winner well.
