Modern Traditional Wedding

Must read

Mr and Mrs Sidambe tied the knot on the 26th of November, 2016 in a totally splendid modern traditional wedding ceremony.

The African sound of ulilating and singing could be heard all around from jubilant friends and families of both bride and groom.

The couple chose the vibrant Ndebele Traditional wall art “Ukugwala” and incorporated that into their look. The results were phenomenal, impressive and completely unparalleled.

The unique choice of the A line free flowing dress by our bride added an avant – Garde touch to their whole ensemble. We must admit we are totally enamoured by Mary Janes look on her big day.

Our bride’s modern and chic Ndebele look was completed by the in-style Ndebele Brass rings around her neck, which put the stamp to her new status as a married woman. The head beads brought out more of the colour found in the dress and adorned her with grace and elegance.

The rich history in the Nbele wall art is intriguing on its own and tugs at the heart of anyone who hears about it. These wall paintings done by the women were their secret code to their people, disguised to anyone but the Ndebele. The vibrant symbols and expressions portray communications of personal prayers, self-identification, values, emotions, and marriage.

We appreciate and take pride in our African culture and our bride and groom’s look, took the OH-SO-GLAM and OH-SO-FAB crown…
