(South Africa, 9th September 2026) – Sony announces the launch of two new external controllers integrating camera control and monitoring, the RM-DP7and RM-DP5,designed for use with Sony’s Cinema Line range of cameras for video production. At the time of release, they will be compatible with the FX5, FX3, FX2, and FX30[i].
By enabling users to check and adjust settings even when positioned away from the camera, the products help streamline shooting for solo operators and small production teams. With reliable operation through physicalbuttons, control knob and multi-function dials, wired connectivity, accurate colour reproduction, and a robust design, the controllers support the increasingly diverse needs of video production environments. With select compatible transmitters, the controllerscan also support a wireless connection[ii].
