It’s always interesting to see how housemates, who usually think they’ve got the game figured out, ironically become one of the few Big Brother contenders to leave the house in the early stages of the competition. Last night two of those contenders, Sibu and Matthias who always voiced their opinions about other people’s strategies in the house were taken by surprise when Big Brother called their names as the second evictees of the competition.

During Saturday night’s party, Matthias had revealed to Blue that he couldn’t accept the fact that he could possibly be evicted come Sunday night.

“I can’t leave the house, yoh! There’s no way I’m leaving”: Said the dreadlocked businessman.

However his fear came true when Big Brother called him and his partner Sibu to leave the house with immediate effect, sadly kissing goodbye their opportunity of winning the R2 million grand prize.

Disappointed by the turn of events, Matthias felt that it was way too soon for him and Sibu to leave the game, clearly the rest of Mzansi felt that the pair had overstayed their time in the house and it was high-time they returned to the wilderness with nothing but their locks and extravagant outfits.

Could it be that Big Brother viewers were drained of Matthias and Sibu’s arrogant ways and their “expert” opinions of the game? Or did Matthias’ love triangle with Blue and Chelsea finally catch up with him? Either way, their exit from the house had the two absolutely bamboozled!

Meanwhile the likes of Thembi and Khali rejoiced at their exit, but their jubilation was short-lived as Biggie made a deal with housemates Mbali and Chelsea. Biggie asked the two ladies if they would like to walk away with R10 000 each, in exchange for the entire household to live on protein shakes and meal replacement drinks for 4-whole days.

The two obviously took the money but their decision has not settled well with the rest of the housemates who felt that Mbali and Chelsea’s decision was a selfish move on their part. However, Biggie has made the situation even more interesting by allowing the housemates to eat, the only is that the housemates would have to buy food from Biggie and sadly that money would have to come out of Chelsea and Mbali’s pocket.

The fridges and cupboards in the Big Brother house are currently locked with chains as housemates slowly sip on protein shakes and water for breakfast. Mbali and Chelsea might have R10 000 in the bag currently, but will their decision lead them to the R2 million grand prize or will a measly R10 000 cost them their opportunity to actually win?

As the daily activities go by, housemates are already at each others throats, annoyed by each other and their hunger pangs.
