PRETORIA’S RISING ROCK SINGER JAEXLYNNE BARES HER SOUL ON LATEST SINGLE, “LAST IN LINE

Must read

For rising South African rock star, Jaexlynne, rock isn’t just a genre – it’s her truth. Since bursting on the scene over a year ago, she’s been carving out her own path in the music industry. “Rock isn’t just music to me, it’s my truth. It’s raw, it’s loud, it’s real,” she says. “There’s no filter, no fake smile, no sugarcoating. It’s me, wide open, pouring every part of my soul out. Rock hits different; it connects in a way nothing else ever could.”

That kind of unfiltered honesty runs straight through her latest radio single, “Last In Line” – a blistering, emotional release that turns heartbreak into power. “‘Last in Line’ isn’t just a song – it’s my story, my scar, my scream,” Jaexlynne says. “For a long time, I was stuck with people I trusted, people I would’ve burned my world down for, and all that time, I was nothing more than the backup plan. I’d put them first every damn time, forgive them before the blood even dried, while they tore me apart. And they made me believe that was love.”

Written with her go-to collaborators, Last In Line came from a place of deep frustration and fire. “Both Manny and Tyler, they never miss,” she says. “They’ve got this insane way of ripping my feelings straight out of my chest and slamming it down on paper. And yeah… they nailed it. Again.”

As her career continues to rise, Jaexlynne’s unapologetic energy sets her apart from a crowded field. She’s not trying to fit in, she’s building her own lane. “The more I evolve, the clearer it gets – my heart and soul bleed rock. I can feel it crawling through my veins. I’m carving out my own sound, not to fit in, but to tear through the noise.”

And she’s just getting started. “What can you expect from me? More. Always more. Louder. Darker. Wilder,” she teases. “I’m done asking for space – I’m taking it. I’m ripping the walls down, breaking every box they tried to shove me in. I’m the storm they didn’t see coming.”

“Last In Line” is now available across all major streaming platforms.
