The highly anticipated and sold-out event once again brought together corporate teams to celebrate workplace wellness, team spirit and community impact.

Johannesburg proudly kicks off the global JPMorganChase Corporate Challenge Series, which celebrates its 50 years running in 2026 and spans sixteen cities across eight countries and six continents. The series promotes healthier workplaces while fostering meaningful connections among colleagues beyond the office.

Participants took to the 5.6km course under Johannesburg’s crisp evening sky, representing companies both large and small. The race saw impressive performances from competitive runners, alongside enthusiastic participation from teams who embraced the opportunity to connect, unwind and celebrate together outside the workplace.
The fastest male and female contenders stormed across the finish line to claim victory. George Kushe from Pepkor led the field, finishing in a remarkable 16:55, while Mari Rabie from RMB topped the ladies category with a strong 21:38.
Major South African companies, including Nedbank CIB, Standard Bank and Investec, once again showed strong support for the event, with hundreds of employees participating as part of their corporate teams.
Since 2014, the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation has been the proud beneficiary of the Johannesburg Corporate Challenge, thanks to the generous support from JPMorganChase on behalf of all participants. Each year, the event contributes significantly to programmes that use sport to address social challenges affecting young people in South Africa. To date, more than 100,000 young individuals have been positively impacted through sport-based development initiatives.
The event also welcomed several Laureus South Africa ambassadors and well-known personalities, who joined participants on the course and helped to create an energetic and inspiring atmosphere.
Following the race, participants enjoyed live entertainment by the ever-popular entertainers, Mi Casa and DJ Luis, ensuring that the post-race celebrations perfectly captured the spirit of teamwork and wellness.
