Over R12 000 was raised in supporting the fight against Cansa with Davenport Square and its Shades of Pink fun run

Nearly 200 locals from Glenwood showed their support for breast cancer awareness by participating in the second annual fun walk, that took place this past weekend, Sunday October 7th.

The 5km walk / run took place from Davenport Square Shopping Centre in Glenwood, and followed the route along Bulwer Road, through to Penzance Road, Esther Roberts Road and ended back at Davenport Square.

The objective of this fun run / walk was to promote awareness of those with breast cancer, providing support to families and communities who are affected by CANSA as well as drive the message to promote, create awareness, as well as encourage women to get checked regularly.

Over R12 000 was raised for CANSA to fight against cancer from this particular the fun run/walk and was sponsored by Green Legends, Quatro Cleaning Services and Curves Gym.
