As the South African National Treasury explores new regulatory frameworks and tax structures for the iGaming sector, global technology provider SOFTSWISS has unveiled its Strategic Vision 2026. The roadmap prioritises technical excellence and regulated market growth as essential pillars for navigating a maturing local landscape.

The 2026 strategy is built on four central priorities: expanding across regulated markets, advancing product maturity, accelerating delivery cycles for partners, and scaling innovation through a dedicated focus on AI-enabled workflows.

A focus on regulated market expansion

The global software provider has made expanding its footprint across regulated markets a core part of its mission for 2026. As a mature tech partner, the software company provides compliant, market-ready products and advanced analytics to help operators manage the complexities of shifting player protection standards and new tax requirements without compromising security or performance.

“Going into 2026, we are taking a very pragmatic view of what partners need: predictable delivery, resilient performance, and solutions that are ready for regulated markets,” says Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS.

Scaling AI-driven innovation

To support this focus on performance, the tech company has formalised its approach to artificial intelligence as a foundational element of its business infrastructure. The recent appointment of Denis Romanovskiy as the company’s first Chief AI Officer (CAIO) marks a shift from experimental AI usage to the execution of a centralised, enterprise-grade AI platform.

This platform connects AI capabilities with corporate systems and data to automate thousands of workflows, allowing teams to analyse large volumes of data and accelerate decision-making while ensuring strict access control and full auditability. This level of governance is designed to prevent “shadow AI” and provide leadership with clear visibility into how technology is applied across a global workforce of more than 2 000 employees.

The international tech provider’s latest 2026 iGaming Trends Report further outlines how AI-based tools are being deployed as a core part of player protection to identify at-risk user behaviour in real time – a move increasingly expected by regulators globally to create safer digital environments. The report highlights major shifts in the greater digital entertainment and tech landscape, where operational AI, advanced cybersecurity, and brand reputation are becoming critical.

Elevating the partner experience

The roadmap also emphasises a partner-first approach, with the tech provider achieving a client satisfaction score of 8.3 out of 10 in recent research conducted with Kantar. This commitment to service and industry education will remain central as the tech provider prepares for upcoming major industry events, including SiGMA Africa in Cape Town this March
