Cape Town, March 25th, 2026: LUMENOCITY, Cape Town’s groundbreaking, new celebration of light, art and immersive storytelling, has announced Kfm 94.5 as its official media partner. The festival will now be presented in association with Kfm 94.5, bringing together two powerful cultural platforms to illuminate the Mother City like never before.
Set to take place in the iconic Company’s Garden from April 9-12, LUMENOCITY will transform the city into an open-air gallery of light, featuring world-class installations, projection mapping, and interactive works by leading local artists.
Through this partnership, Kfm 94.5 will play a central role in amplifying the festival across the Western Cape – connecting audiences to the experience through not only live reads but on-air storytelling, presenter integration, ticket giveaways, and live broadcasts from the festival itself.
A Cultural Moment for Cape Town
More than just an event, LUMENOCITY is a bold cultural statement, positioning Cape Town alongside the world’s leading cities for immersive light festivals, while celebrating creativity, technology and public space.
“Kfm 94.5 has always been about connecting Cape Town through shared moments, and LUMENOCITY is exactly that. It’s creative, it’s accessible, and it brings people together in a truly unique way. We’re proud to be part of something that will light up the city and inspire our audience,” says Kfm 94.5 Station Manager, Hennie Myburgh.
Says LUMENOCITY founder, Gareth Hadden: “At its core, LUMENOCITY is about bringing people into shared spaces in new ways. Kfm 94.5 understands this city and its audience deeply, and this partnership allows us to build something that feels both ambitious and accessible at the same time.”
Lighting Up the Mother City
The partnership reflects a strategic collaboration between media, culture, and brand – with CSA x dentsu X playing key roles in shaping and delivering the platform.
“This partnership is about more than visibility – it’s about cultural relevance. Kfm 94.5 gives LUMENOCITY a powerful voice in the city, helping to bring the experience into people’s daily lives and build real anticipation ahead of opening night,” Davin Phillips, Executive Director at CSA.
Adds Marcel Swain, MD dentsu X: “LUMENOCITY was created to reimagine how people experience Cape Town after dark. Partnering with Kfm 94.5 allows us to extend that vision beyond the physical installations – into homes, cars, and conversations across the city. It’s about creating that shared cultural moment.”
With Kfm 94.5 onboard, LUMENOCITY is set to deepen its connection with Cape Town, inviting residents and visitors alike to step into a world where light becomes art, and the city itself becomes the canvas.
