LOCNVILLE RETURN WITH “SHOW ME LOVE” FEATURING HANNAH RAY – OUT NOW!

Must read

(Cape Town, South Africa. Friday, October) – After some time away, Locnville are back with a new single, Show Me Love, in collaboration with Hannah Ray, out now on all platforms. The new single captures the duality of emotion: the highs and lows of love, the tension between surrender and control. “It was written more from a feeling than a story,” says Andrew Chaplin. “It beautifully describes the push and pull of many things we experience in life.” Brian Chaplin adds, “The lyrics of the hook are meant to portray opposite sides of the same feeling, like ‘take me up, and pull me under.’ It’s a good way to describe love.”

The collaboration came about through longtime friend and producer Sketchy Bongo, who connected the duo with Hannah. “I was chatting with Sketchy about my solo Djenga projects and mentioned I was looking for new vocalists,” says Andrew. “He told me he’d been working with Hannah. I heard her vocals, and it instantly made sense for where we wanted to go moving forward.”

For Brian, the song came together with ease once Hannah’s ethereal tone entered the mix. “When we first started getting the beat together, the hook came about really easily, but I felt like the verses needed something lighter,” he shares. “When Hannah came through to record, she basically freestyled the verses; it all came together really quickly and easily. I hope to work with her more in the future.”

Sonically, the track marks a new chapter for Locnville. Drawing on Afro-house influences and Andrew’s dance-driven solo explorations, the duo has taken their sound deeper into club and production territory. “I’ve been doing a lot more dance-oriented music with Djenga, and that naturally flowed into this new Locnville track,” Andrew explains. “We want to take Locnville more into a production direction rather than a vocal-based act.”

Despite a gap between releases, both brothers say the time apart was necessary and grounding. “It’s been ages,” Andrew admits. “We’ve just been living two completely separate lives mentally and physically.” Brian adds, “I became a father, and we hadn’t even seen each other in a few years. But when we finally met up again, it was like, ‘let’s make something.'”

“Honestly, I just want people to have a good time,” Andrew says. “When you put this track on, I want you to feel good and want to spin it again.” As for what’s next? “We’ll definitely be doing shows and writing more,” Brian teases. “The goal is to warm things up for 2026. Big plans, but mostly, we’re just here to have fun.”
