Dandala resigned two weeks ago, allegedly due to “financial” and “contractual” issues.
According to report, Dandala had issues with the producers regarding his contract and then decided to leave the soapie although he refused to disclose the reasons behind his stance.
SABC3 Publicity Coordinator Dambisa Maqoga confirmed that Dandala left Isidingo, but rubbished claims that the director left because of a contractual dispute.
“He has been with us since last February and left on March 3 to pursue other projects,” said Maqoga.
Dandala’s friends, also revealed that the experienced actor and director left because of money problems.
“He’d been there since last year and proved his work to them enough to get an increase, but they didn’t want to increase his money,” said the friend.
“This caused him to leave and pursue other things.”
