Ekse – Opening Soon! Authentic, Unapologetic, Delicious

Must read

Maboneng still remains a place abuzz with its electrifying vibrant yet laid back semblance. This once neglected and forgotten area due to urban decay is now regarded as one of the city’s most successful inner city rejuvenation projects.

Jozi’s bustling Maboneng Precinct is home to some of the city’s most eclectic restaurants, and we are about to experience the birth of one more eatery, that has its own unique twist emanating from a burst of creativity unparalleled.

Ekse – A fast food joint with a spirited and ebullient mission to take its patrons on a journey through the wonderful taste of township\Kasi cuisine will be opening its doors soon.

Owned by Melissa Sibaya and Desiree Matlala, young Affluential South African black females, who were born and bred in the townships of Jozi and PTA shared with us that they will be catering for those that still miss the delicious taste of home, and for people who haven’t experienced traditional township cuisine.

Their slogan “Authentic, Unapologetic, Delicious” is pretty much self-explanatory as they fully embrace who they are, where they are from and have a passion to share that with the world.

We will be seeing a menu that will feature a fusion of rich Kasi street food flavours and favourites, coupled with a contemporary atmosphere – this unique dining experience inspired by the rich culture found in our hoods is something to undeniably look forward to.

The eatery will definitely be drawing people from far-flung suburbia to experience the creative energy of the precinct.
