Do not break your engagement

Must read

As we wrap up 2016, I want you to know that your survival is not built on achievements but on purpose. Whatever goal you could not meet this year does not determine failure but reflects a mind that has a sense of purpose which in other words means, you are way ahead of achievements but in-line with God’s purpose about your life. Goals are a long term plan but purpose is a life time womb of your goal and when the purpose is realised, a goal is birthed.

Life is an engagement to purpose which means God created you for a specific purpose and that purpose is your domain of functioning. Your purpose creates a sense of existence and for you to connect to that sense of existence you need to be engaged to your purpose.

I am using the term, “engaged “on purpose. Being engaged means you are committing to execute the promise.  Without your sense of purpose you create a space where connecting to you promise which is what defines your reality gets shuttered.

Your reality is not defined by the current situation but it is defined by what God has planned for you. When that reality is invaded, its disruption or confused state will create chaos in terms of you honouring the engagement towards your purpose.

There is no one who exists who has no relationship with their purpose but due to certain exposures and limitations, some get into a state that disconnects them from their purpose.  Following are the elements that lead you into breaking your engagement:

Self-Actualisation: Understand that you did not make yourself but God did and nothing will ever surprise him. Psalm 139: 13. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. Every existence has a pattern.

There wouldn’t be any sense of engagement without the development pattern. Without going through your life’s pattern you can never fully understand self. There are self-understanding cases where you need to go through, situations which are not favourable but will get you to a point of realisation.

These situations will determine what environment works better for your persona. Understanding-self creates a stronger link of you and your purpose. When self is identified, purpose materialises.  Failing to walk the self-discovering path will lead into engaging to activities that are not even part of your journey and will delay or fail your purpose into materialisation.

Do not treat pain, failure and prolonged situations as the end but acknowledge the fact that the energetic friction within you has occupied your surrounding which mean, you are influential and will have to cut through some corners for you to explode.

Self-Efficacy: Self efficacy means understanding your maximum altitude.  Understanding self but failing to understand altitude will be an obstacle to your personal growth and you self-drive towards executing your purpose. Self-Efficacy goes beyond understanding but is activated by your faith and belief.

Faith is taking a step towards what you believe in. Taking a step means you initiate what is required to be initiated in order to activate your purpose. If it calls for you consider taking an academic path to tighten your engagement or if it calls for you to do certain activities, do as needed.

Failing self-efficacy will result into a broken engagement due to the low self-belief that you’ll be creating on yourself. What is that you find yourself dominant when doing it?

Faith and Belief:  Faith is your key to accessing your purpose. Faith is your engagement ring to purpose. Without faith, any intimidation will pull you back. The more intimidations and oppositions you face hence no one is immune to pain and discouragement but your faith will crash through and your God is your power. Your belief is your power engine of your faith and God should be of your belief.

Rootedness: You need to be rooted in Christ Jesus. There is no plant that survives without roots and there are no roots that survive plants without needed nutrients and water.

Christ is your nutrient and water. You need Him to stand strong and push forward no matter what circumstances your environment come up with. You are a product of the soil you plant yourself in. Find the right place, the place of safety and a place led by Christ.

Boldness: Being bold does not mean being bossy or being extroverted. Being bold means standing your ground. Boldness applies both spiritually and physically. Do not let unconvincing situations convince your convicted and engaged mind to purpose.

In conclusion, keep this as we wrap up this year, “There is nothing too hard for the Lord. He got you to it and will take you through it “. You are proper and you are powerful.
