Capegate Shopping Centre is celebrating in true South African style this spring with the Corks & Kegs Festival, a two-day celebration of local flavour, live music and hard-hitting rugby action. Set to take place on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 September, just outside Entrance 2 near Woolworths, the festival promises a packed line-up and an electric atmosphere.
Festivalgoers will enjoy live performances by artists including Mark Haze, Bok van Blerk, Brandon Miles, DJ Jinx and DJ Rubicon. Local favourites Saterdag Vanaand will also take the stage, adding a distinctly South African sound to the weekend.
Live screenings of the Stormers vs Leinster and Springboks vs Los Pumas matches will be broadcast on a big screen, bringing together fans over food, drinks and tries. Expect cheering, beer clinking and shared highs (or lows) as the nation’s favourite game takes centre stage.
Capegate Marketing Manager Zoë Enslin says the festival is designed to deliver an experience that keeps people coming back:“Corks & Kegs is a full weekend experience. We’ve paired good food with great music, added a mix of wines and craft beers, and made sure fans won’t miss a second of the rugby. It’s all about atmosphere, quality and connection.”

Tickets are available via Webtickets or at the door, ranging from R125 to R450, and include three wine or beer tastings. Additional tasting top-ups can be purchased at the venue for R60.
