The Single Ladies star released a new remix of her track Flawless featuring Nicki Minaj and in it appears to make reference to Solange wildly swinging at her husband as she looked on after the Met Ball in New York earlier this year.

On the track she says: “Of course sometimes shit goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator.”

Elsewhere in the track she states: “Mommy taught me good home training, my daddy taught me how to love my haters, my sister told me I should speak my mind, my man made me feel so goddamn fine.”

The reasons for Solange’s attack on Jay Z in May have never been revealed, but a week after the soundless footage leaked, they issued a joint statement saying they had resolved their issues.

The statement read: “As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it.”

“Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologised to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”
