Au Naturel homemade hair treatment regime

Must read

Hi Fabulous Adorners, with the new hair revolution more and more ladies are moving away from using chemicals on their hair and are going AU-NATUREL… Finally, we are embracing our true selves and not afraid to show it.

But what we’ve forgotten is that Natural hair is high maintenance and if you are anything like me, it can be painful having to comb out stubborn-stiff hair; It also requires some degree of patience if you want to be rocking gorgeous long locks soon.

What excites me though about the AU- NATUREL revolution is the numerous number of natural products that one can use including items on your grocery list that can take care of your hair and have you see actual speedy results.

I’ve had a chat with a number of ladies who are rocking their fab voluminous afro’s and these are their tips they want to share with you on what homemade products you can use, to maintain your Fro to add softness and manageability, strengthen your hair, infuse moisture and improve your hair’s Elasticity…

1. Eggs

Their high protein content makes eggs one of the best home remedies for hair growth. They increase the volume in your hair making it look thicker.
Raw eggs are a great treatment for thinning hair and receding hairline. Eggs reduce split ends and help detangle hair when used as a conditioner.
Here’s how to include eggs as one of your home remedies for hair growth:
Wash your hair with a quality shampoo.
Crack 2-3 eggs into a bowl and scramble them.
Cover your hair from root to tips with the egg mixture.
Rinse completely after 5 minutes.

2. Mayonnaise

The eggs, vinegar and oil in mayonnaise allow for a super deep conditioning and here’s how to use it.
Wash your hair and squeeze out the excess water.
Coat it from roots to ends with full fat mayonnaise.
Cover your hair with plastic wrap and allow the mayonnaise to penetrate for 30 minutes.

3. Avocado

Avo’s are a favourite for many and besides being great for masks it is also awesome for your hair. They’re packed with essential fats that are super moisturizing. This leaves your hair feeling softer and more elastic and makes it less prone to breakage.

Use the avocado after washing your hair with shampoo.
Mash it into a paste with a fork.
Coat your hair with the mashed avocados.
Rinse after 15-20 minutes.

4. Olive oil and Coconut oil

Olive oil and coconut oil are great for doing hot oil treatments.
Here’s how to use them for best results.
Warm the oil in a microwave safe container or in a small pot on the stove.
Saturate your hair from roots to ends with the oil.
Cover your hair with plastic wrap and a towel for a steam treatment.
Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

5. Castor Oil

And Who would’ve thought that, that unbearable disgusting oil that was used to torture us when we were kids was good for anything??!! Well this oil is awesome for receding hairlines and super growth for your hair.

Easy way to use it

Warm the oil and use it to massage your scalp and thinning areas around your hairline.

That’s it for now Adorners enjoy your new fab AU Naturel hair treatment routine, without breaking the bank and see definite results.
