Absa is back for an exciting Season of the Betway SA20 tournament, where cricket fans continue to win big. In Season 3, Absa cardholders had the chance to participate in the Absa Card Play of the Day for an opportunity to win up to R100,000 in daily draws. Season 4 brings more rewards for cricket fans, including a share of R1-Million.

The Absa Card Play of the Day
The Absa Card Play of the Day returns this season, and the stakes are high. The tournament will start from 26 December 2025 to 25 January 2026 and Absa cardholders stand a chance to walk away with not only up to R200 000, but an all-expenses-paid trip for two to watch the biggest T20 showdown in India.
The Absa Moneyball
Fans can also look forward to the all-new Absa Moneyball – a gamified innovation that transforms every dot ball in Betway SA20 into a saving moment, with the aim of rewarding both cricketing excellence and smart personal savings.

Visit the Absa Savings Coach tab on the Absa Banking App and create a savings goal then link it to MoneyBall Auto Saver, to save an amount for every run scored by your chosen Betway SA20 team.
Step 2: Watch Your Team Earn You More

Among last season’s winners were Nhlakanipho Luthuli, Naomi Stacey and Arita Reyneke who got a taste of the prize money.
Nhlakanipho Luthuli
“My favourite thing about the Betway SA20 league was the atmosphere at the games. It’s like a little heaven: there’s joy, enthusiasm for the game and unity amongst the supporters”, Nhlakanipho explained. Last year’s win allowed him to adjust his investments, buy land and enroll for a BCom Law degree.
Naomi Stacey
Naomi, a stan cricket fan and regular visitor at the St George’s Cricket Grounds decided to enter the Spin & Win competition at the Absa activation zone upon her arrival. When she was told about the amount she had won, Naomi was overwhelmed with emotion. “It was a moment of disbelief – an incredible, life-changing blessing,” Naomi shared. As a proud grandmother, Naomi got to visit her children and grandchildren in New Zealand.
Arita Reyneke
When both Arita and her dad left for the Final game at Wanderers, her mom had one request – enter the Absa Card Play of the Day competition. Although Arita couldn’t see where on the screen the pointer landed, as she didn’t want to have prescriptions on camera, she couldn’t believe her ears when she heard she had just won R200 000. What she remembers from that day is everyone around her repeating the words, ‘tonight is the big win’. Arita explained that “life-changing moment” is one she will forever cherish as she got to share it with her dad. She was able to pay off her debt at once, invest and she will be going on a trip with her mom.
These wins were more than just a moment – they now represent a big part of the lives of Absa customers who happened to be attending a game.
