October 2025 – School is out for the October break, and there’s no better way to spend quality time with family and friends than enjoying a fun movie on the big screen. Ster-Kinekor is inviting you to spend a few hours together, sharing a line-up of fun, adventure, and animated magic – and, of course, these are best enjoyed in the colourful Kids’ Cinemas.

While all the kids’ movies will be playing in select cinemas across the country, the younger kids will love the experience of enjoying the film in the fun-filled Kids’ Cinema spaces that feature their own foyer area with activity tables and catering counter, brightly coloured beanbag seats (with bigger seats at the back!), and a slide and ball pool. The Kids’ Cinemas can be found at Ster-Kinekor Sandton City, Fourways Mall, Carnival City and Irene in Gauteng, and at Blue Route, V&A Waterfront and Capegate in Cape Town.
The school holiday movie line-up is packed with exciting titles for kids and families alike. First up is the delightful Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, where younger audiences are invited to step into the purr-fectly playful world of Gabby and her cat-tastic friends in this all-new adventure that’s bursting with colour, fun, and friendship. Follow Gabby as she heads out on a road trip with her Grandma Gigi to the urban wonderland of Cat Francisco. But when Gabby’s dollhouse, her most prized possession, ends up in the hands of an eccentric cat lady named Vera, Gabby sets off on an adventure through the real world to get the Gabby Cats back together and save the dollhouse before it’s too late.
Added to the excitement around the release of the film is the chance to meet the movie’s characters and step into Gabby’s magical world during the Gabby’s Dollhouse Costume Tour, visiting select Ster-Kinekor cinemas across the country:
