South African singer-songwriter Garth Brown returns with his new single “Endaweni,” a powerful isiZulu release blending spiritual depth with contemporary Afro-house textures. Best known as the voice behind Jaguar Paw’s enduring house classic “Inhliziyo Yam,” Brown now steps forward as a solo artist with renewed focus after years working behind the scenes in A&R and music marketing across the African music industry.

Written by Garth Brown and Lady Du, “Endaweni” is the first single from his debut EP, Let There Be Light – now available on all streaming platforms. The track reflects Brown’s distinctive musical identity where gospel-rooted emotion meets the pulse of the dancefloor. Sung in isiZulu, the song carries a message of spiritual grounding, belonging, and personal reflection.

“Being an artist requires a level of vulnerability that can be both beautiful and terrifying,” says Garth Brown. “People may remember my voice from the success of Inhliziyo Yam, but this EP is the first time I’m sharing a full body of work that truly reflects my own story and spiritual journey. For years I stood behind the scenes, working in the corporate side of the music industry while quietly carrying these songs inside me. Endaweni is the beginning of me opening that door and allowing people to experience the most honest and personal side of who I am.”
“Endaweni” serves as the lead single from his debut EP, Let There Be Light, which arrived on all digital platforms on March 6, 2026. The track reflects Brown’s distinctive musical identity, where gospel-rooted emotion meets the rhythmic pulse of the dancefloor. The single is a high-profile collaboration, written by Garth Brown alongside amapiano powerhouse Duduzile “Lady Du” Ngwenya, and composed by Given Lungile “Shi Kargo” Mkhari.
