‘ENERGIE’ OUT NOW: LEN MULLER’S LATEST SINGLE SHINES ALONGSIDE SEMI-SOETER SOUNDTRACK NEWS

Must read

June – South Africa – Afrikaans singer-songwriter Len Muller is continuing to ride a wave of creative momentum with his current radio single, Energie — a powerful, uplifting follow-up to his #1 hit Soos ‘n Engel, which topped iTunes South Africa, multiple national radio charts earlier this year and has already surpassed half a million views on YouTube. Adding to the milestone year, two of Len’s earlier singles — Heildronk and Ek Glo — have just been confirmed as part of the official soundtrack for the upcoming Afrikaans feature film Semi-Soeter. “It’s always an honour when a song finds a new life through film,” says Len.

Produced by Gideon Botes, Len’s Energie is accompanied by a visually striking music video created in partnership with award-winning production house Nagvlug Films (HotelNêrens Noord Kaap). The video was directed by Zandré Coetzer (Nagvlug Films) and Dirk Hanekom (CreateSa.tv), with Chris Lotz (SASC) as Director of Photography. “This song is about finding light again when you’ve been running on empty,” Len shares. “It’s about choosing joy—even when it feels like the hardest thing to do.”

Len’s journey into music began as the lead vocalist of an alternative rock band before launching a solo career in 2011. Over the past decade, he has carved a respected place in the Afrikaans music scene with his heartfelt songwriting and emotive vocals.

His discography includes fan-favourite tracks like Smag na JouEk Glo, and Vrede — the latter serving as the theme song for kykNET’s hit series Mense Mense and earning a Huisgenoot Tempo nomination for Song of the Year. He’s collaborated with artists such as Stef Bos on the widely loved rendition of Sarie Marais, and his music continues to find new life in film, television, and live performance.

The success of his single Soos ‘n Engel included earning a Bok Radio Bokkie nomination for Best Music Video and the video itself has already surpassed half a million views on YouTube.

With three full-length albums and multiple award nominations to his name, Len’s work is a testament to his authenticity, vulnerability, and dedication to creating music that resonates with people.

With over 70,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Len will take his music on the road again in 2025 with his nationwide Energie Tour, performing a mix of fan favourites and new material. “Every stage is a chance to connect,” Len says. “These aren’t just songs – they’re stories I get to share with people who may be walking through the same things I’ve written about. That’s what makes it worth it.”
