DIESEL TURNS UP THE VOLUME TO CELEBRATE V&A WATERFRONT REOPENING WITH AN EXCLUSIVE STORE EVENT & ELECTRIC AFTERPARTY

Diesel announces the reopening of its iconic V&A Waterfront store in Cape Town, unveiling a bold new retail concept and immersive shopping experience that represents the highest expression of the brand’s fashion and design attitude that encompasses Diesel’s latest stores worldwide. To mark the occasion, Diesel hosted an exclusive store event attended by none other than Renzo Rosso, founder of Diesel and Chairman of the OTB Group.

The reinvigorated store reflects Diesel’s global retail direction—raw, modern, and unapologetically expressive—blending a refined industrial edge of contrasting surfaces with curated sections of the denim collection, men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, and bags, creating an engaging space for shoppers to connect with the brand’s disruptive spirit.

“The new Diesel store at V&A Waterfront represents more than just fashion—it’s a lifestyle, an experience, and a statement,” said Renzo Rosso. “Cape Town is a city of incredible energy and creativity, and we’re proud to reintroduce Diesel here in such an exciting way.”

The event drew a guest list of high-profile creatives and culture shifters, and Diesel family, including DBN Gogo, Nomuzi Mabena (Moozlie), JR Ecko, Rich Mnisi, Bradley Ndlovu, and Don Delicious, all of whom brought signature style and energy to the celebration. Tukwini Mandela, granddaughter of the late Nelson Mandela, also attended as the brand’s special guest.

The celebration didn’t end with the store’s reopening. Diesel threw a high-energy afterparty in true renegade style, in collaboration with NTS Radio, known for its global underground music scene. The night showcased a lineup of emerging local DJs, blending beats from across South Africa’s vibrant music spectrum.

The highlight of the evening was a live guest performance by Amapiano sensation and Diesel Brand Ambassador for South Africa, Daliwonga, who lit up the stage and brought the crowd to life, creating an unforgettable Diesel moment that fused fashion, culture, and sound.

Diesel’s reintroduction at the V&A Waterfront signals the brand’s continued investment in South Africa and its commitment to pushing boundaries across fashion, retail, and creative culture.
