IBM isn’t just embracing the iPhone and iPad for enterprise apps, the company will also be allowing employees to choose a Mac as a work-issued computer for the first time ever.

The news, which comes from 9to5Mac is sort of a “hell has frozen over” kind of moment. Seriously, you can work at IBM and use OS X.

In an email sent to employees — and obtained by 9to5Mac — IBM said that there are already 15,000 Macs deployed through the companies Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. The new program will be open to all employees.

Employees will be able to choose from a MacBook Pro, a MacBook Air or a PC when getting a new or refreshed workstation.

IBM says it plans to deploy 50,000 Macs by the end of the year.
