Eshile Siwela explains the meaning behind his latest single Ingeyakho:

The song is about giving God the Praise that is due to Him, exalting His name. Siyakuphakhamisa means ” We lift You up, we exalt Thee “. Asizenzisi means “We are not pretending; we are prompted by Worship and Praise. God blesses us within which encourages us to glorify Him and Him alone, ” explains Esihle.

More about Esihle:

Esihle was born and raised in the capital city of KZN, Pietermaritzburg. He was born to the late Gloria, who tragically passed away when he was only four. He never knew his father growing up and was raised by his mother’s older sister who sadly passed away last year.

Esihle completed his matric at Oxford College in KZN. Singing was always his first love, he started on this journey at primary school level doing choral music. At High School level, he discovered his passion for Gospel music and in 2018 decided to pursue a career in Gospel music.

My inspiration is God, I receive so much strength from Him. I am also my own inspiration because life growing up was not easy. I have been through some tough times and my belief and trust in God has pulled me through difficult times.

Did you always want a career in music?

Definitely! I always knew music would become my life as musician, songwriter, composer, and vocal coach. Performing on stage is what I live for. My ambition is to expand my music career to reach international stardom, I want to touch lives across the world, using my God given talent to exalt God’s goodness and mercy. Local inspiration for my music, comes from the likes of Ntokozo Mbambo, Benjamin Dube, Dr Tumi, Kelly Khumalo and Shekinah. Internationally, the music of John Legend inspires me a lot.

What can we expect from you in the future?

I believe my journey is only starting now, the future awaits. I hope to release an EP with a compilation of songs at the end of April or May this year. It will feature Gospel and Soul songs as I believe God has given me the talent to perform in both these genres. The EP will tell the story of my journey, what I have been through, nature, the power of love and forgiveness and what God means to me. God is faithful in his Word, he will use me as an instrument to share the Gospel through my songs,” Esihle concluded.
