A picture of Anthea Malwandle went viral this week after she was snapped standing at a robot in Rosebank with her brown board which said she is a B Tech Chemical Engineering graduate looking for a job.

Sasol spokesperson Alex Anderson said the chemical company had reached out to Malwandle for a copy of her CV‚ which is currently being processed by its human resources (HR) department.

Anderson said that Malwandle would be considered for a spot in the company’s learnership programme: “She has B Tech in chemical engineering‚ which is quite a desirable qualification from a Sasol perspective…so we have just brought her into the fold to be considered with a number of other candidates.”

According to report, Malwandle graduated in 2015 from the Vaal University of Technology.

She said she had sent her CV to HR departments and even went to companies to get her foot in the door‚ but had met with no success.

“After that‚ I said these methods are not working‚ let me write on a board and wait in the busy robots and someone will pick me up and I will get something.”

Malwandle said that she had been standing at the Rosebank intersection looking for work since last Friday‚ and had received many positive responses asking for her CV.
