Legendary actor Bafana Mlangeni aka ‘Baba Sibeko’ from Emzini Wezinsizwa has passed on.
Bafana Mlangeni, famously known as ‘Sibeko’, played the role of a drunkard in the vernacular comedy show. He used to be a spy for the security head in Room 8, where all the main characters stayed. The main characters were: Mofokeng from Qwaqwa, Chirwali the Malawian, Tshawe – “as far as I’m concerned”, the Transkeian, Mkhize, and inyanga Magubane.
According to a report, the actor died on Saturday at Bheki Mlangeni Hospital in Jabulani, Soweto. 48 years old Mlangeni is survived by two boys, three girls and his wife. The cause of his death is unknown but according to the report, he died from a diabetes related illness.
