The new Hip-Hop single by Reggie Peace will get the dance floor buzzing
“It is a fun song that was created to get people on the dance floor,” says Reggie Peace (Reginald Hufkie) about the third single from his debut album, Nuwe Lewe. New Life.
According to this talented musician, who has been working in the entertainment industry for more than a decade, IS JY NCA? is about a group of friends who are going out clubbing.
“The dance floor is buzzing when they arrive at the venue and they eventually end up having a dance-off,” he shares about this hip-hop song, produced by DJ Darkness (Calvin Botha). “During the dance-off the main character meets a girl he likes, but she leaves soon afterward, and the group continues having a good time.”
The music video was filmed in Linden, Johannesburg by Wesley West and was created to complement the theme of the song. The only difference is that, in this instance, it is Reggie and a group of dancers who go out to dance in the streets. “My character tries to persuade a girl to give him a chance. At first, she says no, but later she changes her mind. It’s a ‘fun’ story that suits the feel of the song,” explains the twenty-nine-year-old star from Schauderville, Port Elizabeth.

IS JY NCA? follows in the footsteps of successful releases such as Frequency, Do It – Peacemaker, Hoekom?, Kos Op Die Tafel (KODT), All That Matters, Better, Move, The Struggle is Over and African Queen (a collaboration with other artists).
In addition to his music career, he is also a talented actor who has starred in various popular series such as Generations: The Legacy (Luke), Die Spreeus and Huis Lelieveld (Spanner).
He is currently working on a new comedy series that will be airing on kykNET in April and is also in the process of finalising the script for his first feature film. His brother, Roman, who can also be seen in his music video, will also be starring in a movie with him, which he is very excited about.
