Drill Ne Ngoma is the perfect showcase for their talents. From the opening track “Kalindula Drill” to the closing number Ngoma Drill, the album is a tour de force of innovative music. The beats are hard, the lyrics are sharp, and the overall effect is something that has never been heard before.

Speaking about the project, Killa said, “We wanted to create something that was fresh and new but also paid tribute to our roots. Kalindula music is such an important part of Zambian culture, and we wanted to bring it into the modern age.”

Despite recently going viral with a track called Violet featuring Canadian artist Connor Price, Killa shows no signs of slowing down as he drops his second project of the year.

Legend’son added, “Drill is a genre that’s really taken off in recent years, and we saw an opportunity to combine it with Kalindula. The result is Kalindrilla, and we’re excited for people to hear it.”

Legend’son, a gifted producer and artist hailing from the small town of Mazabuka in southern Zambia, not only produced all the tracks on the EP but also mastered each song, while Killa had the honor of mixing them. With only three features on “Drill Ne Ngoma Vol.1”, track number three boasts the award-winning Zambian artist Towela Kaira, who has gained fame through several chart-topping songs.

Track number four showcases upcoming rapper/singer Norma from Lusaka, Zambia, who undoubtedly possesses the potential to be a future rising star. Lastly, track number five features the UK-born, Auckland-based Nigerian/New Zealand hip-hop artist Mazbou Q, also known as “The Rap Scientist”, who is well-known for his detailed Rap Scientology on Instagram and TikTok.

Drill Ne Ngoma is available now on all major streaming platforms and is set to be one of the most talked-about releases of the year. Killa and Legend’son have truly outdone themselves with this project, and they are sure to win over fans both in Zambia and around the world.
